Michele Allen Fulkerson

Based between Southern California and Southern Oregon, Michele maintains an interdisciplinary artistic practice centered on painting and photography. Her formal development began in Northern Michigan during the 1980s and has since been shaped by extensive global travel and evolving life experiences. She earned a BFA in Studio Art with a minor in Art History, graduating Summa Cum Laude from Southern Oregon University, followed by an MFA in Painting with Honors from the Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD).

Michele’s scholarly and creative inquiries focus on the historical contributions of women artists and the evolution of self-portraiture. She is currently a doctoral student in the Visual Arts PhD program at the Institute for Doctoral Studies in the Visual Arts (IDSVA), where she continues to advance her research in these domains. Her work has been showcased in international exhibitions and is held in private and corporate collections.
